Military Child Support Program

Military Child Support Program

Jefferson Academy strives to create a place of learning where all learners feel comfortable, “at home” and can succeed. We are sensitive to the unique challenges that military children face as they often transition places of living and schools many times throughout their childhood years. We welcome students and accept the unique challenge of helping them feel part of our school.

With Hill Air Force Base close by, we have a number of military students and staff members who are in attendance at our school. As a Leader in Me school, we offer students many opportunities for school involvement and engagement. Upon enrollment, students are immediately given the choice of several student crews to participate in. Our student Welcome Crew helps those new to our school find their way around school and ensures they feel comfortable and welcome during their first days at JA. We have a staff member dedicated to ensuring that all students, including those military students, have access to resources during challenging times such as deployment, transitions, etc.
