What are the income limits to qualify?

In order to qualify for meal benefits your household income must be within the limits defined by the USDA Income Eligibility Guidelines found below.

I completed an application last year, do I need to complete a new one this year?

If you completed an application last year, per federal regulations, that application will be valid for the first thirty (30) school days of the current school year. After this grace period, the free or reduced rate will expire and your student’s lunch will be at the full rate.

How long will it take to complete this application?

The entire application process should take about 15-30 minutes depending on the size of your household and the information you are required to enter. You will only need to complete one application per family.

How long will it take to review my application?

In most situations, Jefferson Academy will process your application within ten (10) working days of receiving it.

What information will I need to complete the application?

1. The names and incomes of every member of your household
2. The school, grade, and birth date of every student in your household
3. Your social security number

What if I need an application in a language other than English?

After completing the hard copy registration for a language other than English, you will need to turn it in to the school office. If you need help, please contact the school office.
